Tips for Baking the Perfect 600lb Gorilla Cookie

Cookie Baking Instructions

1.  Preheat convection oven to 325°F; conventional oven to 350°F.

2.  For easy clean up and perfect cookie spread, place parchment paper on baking pan.  If you don’t have parchment paper, no worries.  Do not grease baking pan.

3.  Place desired number of pre-portioned cookies on tray.

4.  Bake 10 to 15 minutes. For best results, turn baking sheet at 5 to 6 minutes

5.  Allow cookies to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before removing them from the baking pan.

Baked Shelf life: 2 days

CAUTION - Do not overbake.  When properly baked, cookies will be light golden brown on the edges.  They will continue to bake while cooling on the pan.

NOTE:  Oven temperatures may vary slightly.  Adjust baking time or oven temperatures accordingly to achieve best results.

A perfectly baked gorilla cookie will be crispy on the edges and chewy in the center.

Here are some simple suggestions to help your cookies look as good as Grandma's, and taste even better:

1. Preheat the oven to the correct temperature. Use of an oven thermometer will assure temperature accuracy. Read baking instructions.
2. Use a non-stick, light-colored, shiny aluminum baking sheet. These work best as they heat very evenly.
3. Until you have the bake time down for your oven, check cookies after 8 minutes of bake time and at one-minute intervals until they are done. One minute could mean the difference between perfect and over baked.
4. Remove cookies from the oven when the edges have attained a golden brown color but while the centers are still soft and slightly under baked.
5. Let the cookies cool and firm up on cookie sheet or plate for just a few minutes.

  In the event that you over bake the cookies, serve with an ice-cold glass of milk and dip cookies prior to eating.
